01 How rumors get on the board

Every rumor starts somewhere. We only track rumors with a real source — a named insider, a credentialed beat reporter, or an outlet with a track record. Anonymous "trust me bro" content never makes the board.

02 The heat score

Every rumor gets a heat score from 1 to 10 — a fast read on how big the story is and how likely it is to move. Heat considers the size of the name, the credibility of the source, how many outlets are corroborating, and how close the story is to actually happening. A star QB with a trade request from a top insider is a 10. A depth signing rumor from one blog is a 2.

03 Every rumor gets settled

This is the part nobody else does. Rumors don't just disappear when the news cycle moves on — we mark every one as CAME TRUE or BUSTED when the truth lands. Over time, the board becomes a public record of which whispers were real and which were noise.

Vote on any active rumor and come back when it resolves. The crowd's record gets tracked too.

04 Who runs this

NFL Rumors is independently run — no network, no corporate parent, no agenda. It grew out of a Facebook community of NFL fans who wanted their rumors sourced, scored, and settled instead of shouted. That's the whole mission.
