Matthew Judon could go from the practice squad to the field in less than a week

Matthew Judon could go from the practice squad to the field in less than a week. San Francisco signed the four-time Pro Bowler as injuries continue piling up along its defensive front, and Nick Bosa is already out for Week 4. The 49ers signed Judon to their practice squad this week. The 34-year-old veteran has 72 career sacks and 100 NFL starts. Kyle Shanahan says San Francisco will work Judon into individual drills and see how quickly he learns the defense. Shanahan said the 49ers hope Judon can become an option to help them quickly. San Francisco hosts Denver Sunday. Now the question is whether Judon can get ready fast enough to make his 49ers debut.
